RECOGNISATION

Mahabodhi Lord Buddha B.Ed college is offering two years B.Ed course and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh and duly recognized by the  National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and permitted by the State Govt. Of Arunachal Pradesh, Department Of Higher Education.

 The college promotes innovative works and research in the field of teacher education by introducing action researches, work-experience activities, seminars, indigenous teaching learning materials and by conducting rigorous skill based teaching and training programs’ etc to bring behavioral change in teacher-trainees in particular and upgrading of teacher education in general.

INTRODUCTION

The bachelor of education (B.Ed.) programme aim at developing the understanding and competencies required by teachers for effective teaching learning process at the secondary stage. The programme also provides opportunities of sharing experience gained by teachers. It enables teacher to select and organize learning experiences according to the requirement of learners. In addition, it provides knowledge and develops in them an understanding of educational evaluation, school management,etc.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE

The programme aims to enable teachers to achieve the following objectives.

DURATION

The minimum duration of the programme is two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the programme will be five years.

** Fees once paid will not be refundable under any circumstance. It is also not adjustable against any other fees of the college.

** A candidate who discontinues the course during the session shall not be refunded his/her security money.

EXAMINATION CENTRE

EXAMINATION FEES FOR EACH SEMESTER

The admitted candidates have to deposit the examination fees separately as and when notified by the principal of the college before the commencement of the practicum activities and filling up examination form i.e. prerequisite for each-semester examination. A students has to deposit the examination fees amount Rs.1000-/(one thousand)only separately on the day /date of filling the examination form for each –semester examination as per the rule in force from time to time.

REGISTRATION FEES (ANNUAL)

There will be separate notification regarding the registration process and its requirements for the students those who have completed their graduation/qualification degree from any other university apart from the affiliating university i.e. Rajiv Gandhi University.

ADMISSION

INFORMATION ABOUT ADMISSION

The college follows the semester system in B.Ed. course with a component of continues evaluation for bringing qualitative improvement in teaching-learning process. The course is of two years duration spreading over four semesters. Admission to the courses will be done at the beginning of each semester, unless decided otherwise by academic council of the affiliating university.

The prospectus of the college containing application form for admission may be obtained from college office/counter and the duly filled in forms with self attested copies(in duplicate) of  the required document as mention in the application form have to be submitted in the office/counter on or before the date as notified below:

INTAKE CAPACITY

The intake capacity of the college for the current session is 50 (fifty) which is subjected to increase in next academic year.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidate should clear the RGUCET for B.ed course. Candidate with B.A/B.COM./ B.SC. degree from Rajiv Gandhi University or any other recognized university with at least 45% marks  in graduation degree under(10+2+3)pattern/scheme is eligible for the admission to B.ed.course.SC/ST candidates  shall be given a relaxation of 5% marks. PG holders are also eligible for the course and will be given preference.

RESERVATION

60% of seats in the total will be reserved for ST candidates ,9% for OBC ,3% for SC,5% for wards of ex-service men,3%  for differently abled and  20% for general candidates. However, if there are no OBC, SC, GENERAL and Differently abled applicants etc. the seat will go to ST category and if ST candidates are not available then seat will be treated as general.

One seat will be reserved as sports quota out of general quota .The outstanding sports men/sports women will be given 10% weightage for representing the country at the international level,5% for representing the state at the national level and3% for enter-university at national level and shall be added as weightage to marks obtained at qualifying exams. However, the candidates applying under the sports quota will have to satisfy the minimum percentage of marks prescribed to be eligible for the seats reserved for general category.

For NSS volunteer, a weightage of 5 marks will be given for (i) 240 hrs of social service and 2 special camps/1 NIC (National Integration Camp)/RDC Delhi (Republic Day Camp) and weightage of 3 marks for (ii) 120 hrs of social service /1 special camp.

For NCC cadet, weightage of 5 and 3 marks will be given for ‘C’and ‘B’ certificate holders respectively.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The admission in B.Ed course shall be made on purely MERIT basis, of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or any other selection process/criteria in force from time- to- time.
