FACILITIES

The college always strives to offer optimum facilities to the students out of its limited resources. Students are to use these facilities judiciously and properly without giving any scope for misuse or wastage.

COMPUTER LABS AND INTERNET FACILITY

The Computer labs and internet services have been established. There is an exclusive computer lab facility for all the faculties and students, which can be access during the college hours.

DIPLOMA COURSE IN COMPUTER

College also offers diploma course in computer to enhance the learning of the students at free of cost for 1st semester students. Those who would like to join the computer course except 1st semester are expected to take separate admission at the time of joining or otherwise as the seats are limited. BUSINESS LAB

This is the lab for practical classes and group discussions for Commerce and Economics students.

LIBRARY AND READING ROOM

The college library has sufficient text books and reference books for the students and teachers. The library has a separate reference section. It subscribes several dailies, weeklies and monthly magazines. Suitable arrangements have been made for the students to read them during leisure hours. Students can borrow the books from the library with help of their library card which will be issue at the time of admission. Students are entitled to get maximum two (02) books issued for fifteen (15) days against each library card. A fine @ Rs. 2 per day is imposed after the expiry of the date of the returning of the books.

STUDENTS’CHARITABLE FUND

In the history of Arunachal Pradesh, the first ever system of charitable fund have been introduced at Mahabodhi Lord Buddha College for upliftment of the poor as well as meritorious students. The students’ charitable fund has been donated by the teaching & nonteaching staffs of the college from their monthly salary since August 2015 and will be continued.

The students who belong to poor background will be supported financially from this fund. Meritorious students will also get financial help from this fund. The procedure of the selection of meritorious students will be based on the entrance exam conducted by the college authority.

At least one student from poor background and one meritorious student respectively, will be awarded financial help from this fund. The number of students will be enhanced as per the allocation of fund.

BUS FACILITIES

The college is also providing bus facilities for the students and to avail these facilities students have to pay a minimum bus fees which is to be charge at the time of admission. For further information please contact to the office.

STIPEND

All APST students are entitled to receive stipend subject after the scrutiny of their monthly attendance by the Attendance Monitoring cell of the Directorate of higher & Technical Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Condition for Grant of Stipend-

The grant of stipend depends upon the satisfactory progress and good conduct of the students. If the stipendiary are found guilty of misconduct such as resorting to or participating in strikes, irregularity in attendance withhold the permission of the principal and if they commit any major offence or breach of college discipline, the principal has the power to suspend the award of stipend with approval from the college managing committee of the college.
The government shall have the inherent right to cancel the stipend wholly or partly or stop or withhold further payment for any reason which the government thinks proper.
If a student is found to have obtained stipend by false means, the stipend paid will be recovered and such students will be black listed and deterred from getting under any scheme forever.
The stipend awarded may be cancelled if a student changes the subject of the course of study for which the stipend was originally awarded or changes the institution of study without the prior approval of the government of Arunachal Pradesh.
A stipendiary shall cases to withdraw stipend as and when he gets a government job.
Disbursement of stipend will subject to regular attendance in the college and satisfactory academic performance and general behaviour inside and outside the college campus. At least 85% classes must be attended in every month so as to get the stipend. Attendance report of every student has to be sent to the Director of Higher &Technical Education, Itanagar (Stipend Granting Authority) every month.
No student is allowed to draw his/her stipend on Authority. He/she must be present physically with the College Identity Card to draw the stipend.

ISHAN UDAY SCHOLARSHIP

The UGC under union Minister of Human Resource Development has launched a Special Scholarship Scheme ISHAN UDAY for North East Region from academic year 2014-15 onward for the meritorious Students of lower economic strata. Two students from our college have qualified for this Special Scholarship in the academic session 2014-2015.
